New Beginnings…
After a period of time getting ready we are now at the cusp of new chapters in all our lives. I have learned over the years of experience that expectations are very important, especially those left unsaid. When we have certain expectations and do not share them with each other it can, and often does lead to disappointment. In this vein I would invite you to share your expectations of me as I will share mine. It is likely we may not fulfill all expectation, but by sharing we have open a dialog/conversation with each other and hopefully we build trust. When trust is weaken or lost it is difficult to regain. So let me begin with some of my expectations and description of who I am according to me!
A short list of some of my expectations are:
Prayers, that you pray for me as I will for you
1. Honesty to and from you
2. Transparency on all matters except those that need to be kept confidential
3. Sense of humor, I have a dry humor which you will experience so please laugh with me even in worship
4. I will offer my opinion as appropriate and I will respect your opinions
I hope you will share with me your hopes, your dreams, your frustrations, your joys as I will mine as appropriate.
Blessings and Peace,
Pastor Stan
